Michael Patterson DO
Dr. Michael Patterson has written numerous scientific articles, papers and posters for national publications. He has been invited to meetings around the globe to help further education abroad. He received his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Palmetto Health / University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He served as the chief resident from 2014-2016. He served six years in the Army National Guard where he earned the rank of Captain and currently is in the United States Army Reserve. He is married and has three children. Specialties: Laser cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens, laser vision correction (LASIK and PRK), surgical and medical treatment of glaucoma (iStent, ECP, Ahmed and Trab/Express), ocular surface disease, cosmetic and functional procedures of the eyelids including ptosis, upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasties, entropion and ectropion. Dr. Michael Patterson recently joined practice with his father, Larry Patterson MD and James Grisolano MD at the Eye Centers of Tennessee. They have offices in Cumberland, Fentress, Putnam and Warren Counties. Both Drs. Larry and Michael Patterson are members and supporters of the UCMS-TMA.
